John
Holbrook is an internationally known, Texas artist who has appeared
on CNN twice. His latest appearance involved an exclusive, five
minute video segment that featured Holbrook and his photography.
Holbrook first appeared on CNN when he was interviewed by CNN
reporter Jeannie Moos.
The interview took place in New York at the internationally
acclaimed art exhibit he participated in entitled,' Jesus 2000'.
Holbrook's images were chosen from thousands of applicants from
around the world and were described as being, "One of the Spiritual
Jewels of this Historic Event". His pictures were featured by the
show's curator, Sister Wendy Beckett from the BBC and PBS. This
globally acclaimed 'Jesus 2000' show then exhibited in Chicago, St.
Louis, Baltimore and toured other major cities in the United States.
It is anticipated that the exhibit will continue to tour America and
eventually Europe over the next several years. John Holbrook's
images have been published and circulated to over 69 countries. All
of Holbrook's pictures are authentic and incorporate no digital
manipulation. For example, the above image is entitled 'Mother
Rose'. 'Mother Rose is a picture of a homeless woman. The clothes worn by 'Mother Rose' are her own
and she placed the blanket on the fence to shield herself from the
110 degree Texas sun. The bird in the picture is real and appeared
unexpectedly in the image. The artist added the 'Halo'
to the subject with a darkroom technique called dodging.
